The Anthon Herald, 19 April 1961, page 3:
John A. Seaton, son of Elvin and Mary Tilton Seaton, was born January 11, 1897, at Hubbard and died at his farm home east of Oto on March 30, 1960, at the age of 64 years, 2 months and 19 days. Mr. Seaton had farmed since 1908. He was a World War I veteran. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Elma Knight of Oakland, California; one brother, Elvin of Atlanta, Idaho. He was preceded by his parents. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 8, at the Walter Chapel with Rev. Bryon Ayers, pastor of St. John's Methodist Church in Mapleton, officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery, Anthon.
