Louisa was born in Berrow, Worc, England to Robert Sheen and Eliza Elizabeth Taylor. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in England and she came to the United States with her family. Her family came to UT in a Handcart company. She told that 1 child @ a time could ride on the handcart. However she had a younger little sister that cried when she had to walk. Louisa said that she walked most of the way so the little sister could ride. She married Herber Cortis Reed 10 May 1868 in Salem, Utah, UT, they were sealed for all time and eternity on 11 Jul 1870 in the Endowment House. They raised a large family, the 6 children being born in Salem, UT. They moved to St David, AZ and had the rest of their family. Louisa died in Tombstone, AZ. She loved her family and her daughter Ethel moved to Canada and then on to Kelso WA. I have letters from Louisa to Ethel and she constantly expressed how much she missed her and her family.

When Ethel Reed came to Canada to visit an Aunt they met and were married shortly there after. Ethel had been married before and had 2 children, James Emmett & Ethel LaVerne. They lived out on a farm and when LaVerne got old enough to go to school they would move into town for the winter so she could go to school. LaVerne's 1st year of school they sent her into town to live with other family so she could go to school. But Ethel missed her so much that after that they all moved into town during the school yr. Francis's family moved down to Regby Idaho but Frank stayed. After his wife Ethel's health started going down hill they moved to Washington thinking the change in weather would be a help. They moved 1st to Spokane WA but Frank soon found work in the growing town of Longview WA and he moved his family to Kelso WA.
