(2,4) 1675, 25 Jan: Philip Eastman was on a list of those who had built ahouse on the Haverh ill Common lands, or on their own land, since Mar1660, which prohibits them from rights to t he town's common lands. (4)The last list was dated 1669, on which Philip does not yet appear .
(4) 1676, 3 May: Of Haverhill. Captured by the Indians at the same timeas the family of Thom as Kimball, who lived on the road to Bradford. TheIndians were 3 well-known "converted" me n named Symon, Andrew and Peter,who had lived among the settlers at Haverhill, Symon at on e time withWilliam Osgood. The Indians soon after tried to make peace with theEnglish, wh o instead jailed Symon and Andrew. They soon escaped and setabout seeking revenge. (2) 1675 . (2) 1693, 18 May: Deed recorded at Salem, Massachusetts where PhilipEastman and his wife Mary, formerl y of Haverhill, now of New Roxburyalias Woodstock, sell to Thomas Wood, formerly of Ipswich , but now ofHaverhill.
(2) c.1695: Moved to New Roxbury (Woodstock), CT as early as 1695. (NOTE:Should be as earl y as 1693, when deed refers to him as of New Roxbury.)
(3) 1697, 15 Mar: His house in Haverhill, Massachusetts was burned byIndians, some of his family captur ed along with him, and othersdispersed. He escaped later. (NOTE: 15 Mar 1696/7 is date his s on-in-lawThomas Wood was killed by Indians. Perhaps it was his daughter's house.)(4) 1698 , the house and buildings of Philip Eastman were destroyed bythe Indians, Haverhill, Massachusetts, whi le they were returning from anattack on Andover, Massachusetts that occurred 5 Mar.

(3) 1715: On the town record of Woodstock, CT is mentioned his heirsrepresenting Philip East man in the distribution of lands as laid outamong the proprietors. Mention is also made of h is buying a piece ofland in Ashford, a town adjoining Woodstock.
