Johannes Antonides, (1733-97), was at Monmouth and Valley Forge. In hisabsence his house wa s ransacked and set on fire and he suffered the lossof his cattle and horses. These were rec overed by the heroism of hiswife. He was born and died in Monmouth, N. J.
