    Funeral services for Olan "Mutt" Tilton were held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel, Winnfield. Officiating were Revs. Glen Morton and Nathaniel Young. Burial followed in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Wheeling, La. Mr. Tilton, 86, of Wheeling, died Monday, July 29, 1996 in the Winn Parish Medical Center. He was a member of the Montgomery Pentecostal Church and received two purple hearts during World War II. Survivors are his wife, Willie B. Tilton of Wheeling, La.; two sons, Cecil Olan Tilton and Vernon L. Tilton, both of Wheeling, La.; one sister, Wilodee Keity of Sarasota, FL; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Individual Note:
     Services for Elbert Tilton, 59, of Winnfield, were held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Union Hill Baptist Church with the Revs. Jerry Mitchell and Brooks Coburn officiating. Burial was in Mount Zion Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Tilton died Wednesday, October 7, 1981 at Veterans Administration Hospital in Alexandria after a long illness. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mattie Tilton of Winnfield; three daughters, Daphne Jump of Fairfax, Okla., Pam MacLain of Memphis, Tenn., and Jacque Rutherford of Princeton; a stepson, William Logan of Abilene, Texas; five stepdaughters, Diane Clark of Vivian, Pam McMillian of Logansport, Billie Tarver of Grand Cane, and Melba Stroud and Linda Sue Fallis, both of Winnfield; his father, Charlie Tilton of Winnfield; two brothers, Wilbert Tilton of Ville Platte and O. K. Tilton of Montgomery; a sister, Mrs. Willa Dee Smith of Pensacola, Fla.; six grandchildren, and six step grandchildren.      Funeral services for Mrs. Lela Fowler Tilton, 59, native and lifelong resident of Winn Parish, were conducted at Mt. Zion Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, with the Rev. T. A. Brown of West Monroe officiating. Interment in Mt. Zion Cemetery was directed by Hixson Brothers Funeral Home. Mrs. Tilton died suddenly of a heart attack at her residence at Tilton's Camp on Saline Lake, Rt. 1, Atlanta, early Tuesday morning. She was born in Winn Parish January 16, 1891 [sic 1890] and was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, Charles E. Tilton of Rt. 1, Atlanta, three sons, Elbert Tilton of Atlanta, Olan Tilton of Ville Platte, and Albert [sic Wilbert] Tilton of Montgomery; one daughter, Mrs. Willo Dee Dykes of Shreveport; three brothers, Tobe Fowler, Sam Fowler, and Frank Fowler, all of Montgomery; one sister, Mrs. Clara Johnson of Montgomery. Pallbearers were S. M. Fowler, Burke Fowler, Orville Fowler, Buford Fowler, W. A. Fowler, and Red Johnson.
