Individual Note:
     Her gravestone is inscribed, "Death is a debt to nature due, as I have paid it so must you." The grave markers of Abraham Sr. and Rachel are made of a beautiful slate with lovely designs at the top, mottos at the bottom, and apparently unaffected by the passage of time and weather. Will of Mary Allee, Widow of Abraham Allee, Sr.
:
Will. Made Nov. 10, 1776. Duck Creek Hundred, Kent County,Delaware

I Mary Allee of Duck Creek Hundred in the County of Kent on
Delaware within the Delaware state Widow and relict of Abraham
Allee of the same place Deceased Being weak of body but of perfect mind
and a sound memory, have thought proper to make this my last
will and testament. First it is my Will that after my that Decease my Body be
decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter
mentioned.. I give one negro Man named Merret to my Grandson John Tilton
and in case of his death before he arrives to the age of twenty
one years therefor the said negro to be sold and the Money to
Equally Divided between the rest of his Brothers and Sisters or
their Legal representatives the children of Thomas and Sarah Tilton.
    I give the money of Eighty Pounds now on Bond and has been
some time on interest remaining in the Hands of my Son in law
Thomas Tilton to be equally divided between his five children namely
Ann Allee, Sarah, James Rachel and Thomas Tilton share and share
alike and in case of any of their Deaths before the age of
twenty one year then to be Divided in like manner as above
amongst the rest of the surviving Brothers and Sisters or their
legal Representatives the Children of Thomas and Sarah Tilton.
I give to my Grandson Abraham Allee son of Jonathan and Sarah
Allee two thirds parts of my thirds of my Deceased Husband
Abraham Allee his personal estate now remaining in the hands of
my Daughter in Law Sarah Allee and in case of his death before
the age of Twenty one years then to be equally divided between
his four Sisters namely, Mary Liston, Sarah, Elizabeth and Ann
Allee or their Legal: Representatives. . I give to my son in Law Thomas Tilton the other third part of
the remaining two thirds above specified for his trouble and the
expence he has been at with me.. I give to my four grand Daughters namely Mary Liston, Sarah
Elizabeth and Ann Allee the children of Jonathan and Sarah Allee
all the rent now in arrear now due from my thirds of the Lands
or Plantation whereon my Son Jonathan did dwell at the time of
his Death and whereupon my Daughter in Law Sarah Allee now lives
as by agreement with my son Jonathan Allee in his lifetime at
fifteen pounds a year to be equally divided between them share
and share alike and in case of any of their deaths then to their
survivers or their llegal representatives in like
: manner as above. To give to my Son in Law Thomas Tilton all the rest of the
rents in arrear due on all the rest of the lands of my deceased
Husband Abraham Allee which I had a right to my thirds in particular
that whereupon the Heirs of John Allee Dec'd now lives as per
agreement with the said John Allee in his lifetime at fifteen
pounds per year also a place called Barren Hope Do. Pasture
Point Do. whereupon the widow Jones lately lived.
    I give to my Grand Daughter Sarah Tilton all my household
furniture and in case of her death then to be equally divided
between her two Sisters Ann Allee and Rachel Tilton and to their
legal representatives. I give to my Grand Daughter Rachel Tilton one silver cream
pot.. I give to my Son in Law Thomas Tilton all the rest of my
Personal estate heretofore not given and diposed of. And I do
hereby Constitute and appoint my Son in Law Thomas Tilton my
whole Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking all
other Will or Wills heretofore by me made. As witness my Hand
and Seal this 10th Day of November in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Six.
